Hello, there! As you already know, Modelizer has been very quiet, when it comes to more news, and gossip, about the male modeling industry. However, Modelizer has been a HUGE handful, for me. But, don't worry. Modelizer is NOT shutting down. It's just taking a short break til' May 2005. Why May 2005? I have no freakin' clue. Just a random time, for me to sort out what the hell I'm going to do with this site, in the upcoming months. But, during this short vacation, there is a slight possiblity of random posts being made. Also, there is another "scandal" in the making, within the fashion/modeling industry. Let's just say a certain well-known fashion photographer, known for taking some of the sexiest photographs, of the hottest male models, in the biz, is taking a plunge in front of the camera in gay porn! Must be hard times in the Big Apple. Can't figure out who it might be? Stay tuned...

Ryan's Wrath!

Yes, yes, we know that we've been lazy, when it comes to posting something new around here. However, this morning, after checking our inbox, we were surprised by an interesting e-mail, circulating the inboxes of many, in the male modeling industry.

The infamous, and definitely ridiculous, so-called 'model manager,' Ryan Colby is revealing his true colors, via an e-mail he sent to one of his boytoy models, who resides from Texas. Let's just say that this Texan hottie has given up on Colby's "I'm going to make you a star (when in reality I can't, because I truly don't have the powers to do so. And oh! The main reason why I'm representing you is because I wanna bang you in the ass, really bad)" bullcrap. Yes, as crazy as it sounds, it's really the honest truth.

Ryan Colby is a sleazebag, in the male modeling world, and I really don't understand why no one has realized this, especially the male models whom he represents. He's rumored to represent the likes of Tyson Ballou, Julien Hedquist, James Rousseau, and many other established male models, in the biz, but how can he "own" any of these men, if they're not signed, to him, on paper? Which brings up the question to how he can ruin this poor, young male model's career, since Ryan Colby is a nobody?

This is drama at its best, and the hot mess that is Ryan Colby is the best person to start it. Below, check out the over the top e-mail, written by Colby himself, sent to Texan twink:

It's officially here (and the hype is officially over)! Conde Net has finally launched the men's version of Style.com, just in time, alongside the men's collections unveiling in Milan, and Paris. But, if you think that is hot news then get ready for Conde Nast's launch of Men's Vogue, debuting in September 2005. The queen Conde Nasty herself, Miss Anna Wintour, will edit the new publication under her vision of what us male fashionistas find hot, from season to season.

Linkage: Weber in Stern...

According to Towleroad, German magazine, Stern is launching a 76-page issue, featuring the past, and present, work of Bruce Weber. As much as we've made fun of Papa Weber, this year, we've got to give our props to a man who can get any (I'm talking any) really, hot guy to drop their drawers, in front of his camera. Let's get real. That's pretty hard to do, unless you're Sean Cody ( I mean, I know I couldn't do it). But, then you start to think about the gay-for-pay trend in amateur gay porn, and then you start to realize that it may not be that hard after all. Let's get real. Bruce Weber's work is kinda like high-end gay porn, but for straight people, if that makes any sense. Ok, maybe it doesn't. But, hopefully you get my drift.

Modelizer Moments, of 2004 (Part #2)

These are the people, places, and things that have stood out, and have made an impact, in Modelizer's first year. So, to continue this countdown, we begin with #4...

#4 Dennis Manzoni
-If there is one promising, new face who ruled the runways, and editorials, during 2004, then it's definitely, IMG's own, Dennis Manzoni. Standing at 6'2'', this young, Italian native has been photographed by the likes of Steven Klein, Allesandro del Buoni, Alasdair McLellan, Karen Collins, Laurie Bartley, Marcus Mam, Mariano Vivanco, and Stefano Moro, and has worked for high profile clients, like DSquared, L'Uomo Vogue, Arena (as well as it's bi-annual fashion supplement, Arena Homme +), Dazed & Confused, Pop, Details, Mixte, Crash, DoingBird, and Style, just to name a few. Since all of this success (which, I know, makes all of the novice models jealous) has happened for him, during 2004, then get ready, because his tight, little ass is going to be on fire, in 2005. Burn baby, burn!

#3 Brazilian Babylon
-I've got two words, for you-Felipe Matarazzo. Enough Said! This guy has got to be the sexiest specimen to come out of Brazil (and that's saying a lot, since we're talking Brazilian male models, here). Can someone please tell me why the men in this South American country are so damn gorgeous, and oh, so sexy? What the hell are they drinking over there? Plus, the fashion scenes in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janiero are off the freakin' chain! You've got designers, and labels, like Alexandre Herchcovitch, Blue Man, Butch (probably, the sexiest men's label in South America), Carlos Miele, Complexo B., Fause Haten, Love Capoeira, M. Officer, Nico & Adrian, Rosa Cha, and Zoomp, vying for attention, from the international fashion circuit. With all of that said, and done, it's pretty much easy to say that Brazil is the place to be. Just ask Bruno Santos (represented by Wilhelmina Models), Luca Mendes (represented by Ford Models), Juliano (represented by Q Models), Gabriel Mattar and Daniel Silveira (both represented by Elite), who are all natives of this beautiful country. Oh, and did we mention our love for Brazilian blog Made in Brazil? Can't get enough of it! Viva Brazil!

Modelizer Moments, of 2004!

What a year, my freinds! What a year! 2004 has been such an exciting year, for everyone involved with this blog. We thank all of our readers, tipsters, and all of the other sites (like, ModelLaunch, Model Max, Ones2Watch), and blogs (Towleroad, Gawker, Oh La La Paris, Exceptional Mediocrity, New York City Boys, Socialite's Life, Made in Brazil, Fleshbot and so many more), which have supported this site, since it started, in May 2004.

We're so excited to have launched this site, because it has truly been fun, covering all the beefcake, all the brawn, and all the cattiness (who knew the boys could be even more dramatic, then the girls?), which is associated with the male modeling industry. But, all in all, it's been a great year, even if we do have haters, like our ridiculous comment creep, who has so much time on his/her hands, to post a gazillion comments, in every post. That's dedication, I tell ya'! Dedication!

Now, to end this year on a good note, we're listing Modelizer's 6 best moments of year. These are the people, places, and things that have stood out, and have made an impact, in Modelizer's first year. So, to kickoff this list, let's begin with #6...

#6 Australia
-Now, I know you're wondering how Australia makes the cut as one of the best moments of the year, for Modelizer. However, it shouldn't be hard to understand how. Australia's fashion, media and male modeling scenes have been creating quite the buzz, where it's hard not to notice this amazing land down under. The savviest gay publications, of the moment, like Blue and DNA, are wowing queers, all over the world (and giving the Out's and the Advocate's a run for thier money), with sexy photo spreads, and savvy content. Plus, the cities of Melbourne and Sydney are now respected as Meccas of style, ever since the launch of their very own fashion weeks. Oh, and how can we forget the male models, of Australia? Those Aussie boys, in their Aussie Bums sure do something to us, and we'll just keep it at that.

#5 Ones 2 Watch
-This modeling industry site, devoted to the hottest and newest faces to hit the modeling scene, definitely makes the cut, on our list. We remember when it was just a baby, and now look at it all grown up! With so many modeling industry sites losing their flair it's best to say that Ones 2 Watch is a breath of fresh air.

Bruno Seasons the World Wide Web.

Open up the brand-spanking, new issue of V Magazine (issue 32), and you'll see a sexilicious photo spread, featuring the men of Wilhelmina Models (photographed by Tom Munro). One of the hunky mannequins featured in this layout is Brazilian ubermodel Bruno Santos. Oh, how we love Bruno! Actually, I think Andy [Towle], over at Towleroad, loves Bruno more then we do.
