Test shoots gone wrong. Joseph Sayers exposed!

Joseph Sayers is one of the hottest male models, in the fashion industry, right this minute. He's represented by Jason Kanner, at Major Model Management, in New York City, which has one of the strongest men's boards, at the moment.

Joseph's modeling career took off, after his appearance, in the summer 2002 issue of Abercrombie & Fitch's A&F Quarterly, photographed by Bruce Weber. Ever since then, he has worked for many of fashions A-list, shooting with the likes of Steven Klein (for DSquared2), Matthias Vrien (for Arena Homme Plus), and Bruce Weber (for Abercrombie & Fitch), just to name a few.

What many of you probably don't know is that Joe has a naughty past. A very, very naughty past. He was discovered by Edelson, a shady photographer, who would post, in the ModelLaunch forums, a while back, until he was banned, for being a shady character. In one of his many posts, he showcased some photographs, of a scantily clad young male, posing seductively, in front of the camera. Many of the members in the forum went nuts, questioning Edelson, about who the new fresh face [and body] was. Finally, he revealed the unknown, young male to be Joseph Sayers, who was flown down to Florida, for a test shoot, by Edelson's expenses.

The photographs of Joseph, posted in the forum, were truly provocative, especially for a first timers test shoot. Edelson had his mind set, to submit the photos, to Playgirl, since I guess he was going to turn Joe into a Playgirl centerfold, or some sort of "gay for pay" adult star. Who knows? One thing I do remember is Edelson submitting the photographs, to XY magazine, where Peter Ian Cummings, editor-in-chief of XY, turned the pictures in a multi-page spread.

Now, here's the thing. Even though Edelson posted, many of the photographs, in the ModelLaunch forum, as well as showcasing some more in XY magazine, apparently there were photographs we didn't see.

Now, I don't know how many of you are internet savvy, and have come across these unseen photos, but one thing I would love to ask Joe is what on Earth was he thinking? I mean, I know some people make mistakes, but c'mon? Was he trying to become a fashion model, or a freakin' hardcore porn star?

Another thing that's interesting to me is how he's at the peak of his career, and these pictures haven't hurt him, one bit. Agencies normally don't take on male models, who've had a dirty past, because it's known to hurt a male model's career. Also, Joe is only 5'9'', while the basic height requirements, for a male model are 5'11''-6'2''. But, as you can see, everything turned out fine, for Mr. Sayers.
